Eclipson model S is a high performance slope soarer. Aerodynamic efficiency has been the main goal of this project since the conceptual phase. With a theoretical maximum lift to drag ratio of 23 to 1 and minimum sink rate of 0,38 m/s this model is simply the most efficient we have designed so far. As usual the model can be printed with PLA or LW-PLA depending on your preferences or flying skills. In case you wanna enjoy this model in the slope the use of though PLA material with flaps is without a doudt the best option thanks to his better impact resistance, better aerodynamic performances at higher speeds and greater stability under strong wind conditions. Nevertheless by printing the model with LW-PLA flying speeds are slower making the model more adequate for thermal flying or even as a trainer for less experienced pilots.
