The Milano Real, known in English as the Red Kite, is one of the most recognizable birds of prey in Spain and across Europe. Inspired by this iconic bird, the Milano is a 3D-printed RC aircraft that combines a distinctive silhouette with innovative engineering and fully functional flight controls. Organic shapes like those found in nature are particularly well suited to 3D printing, making it possible to reproduce the Milano's flowing contours and distinctive proportions while integrating functional features directly into the structure. The integrated hinge system allows the wings and ailerons to be printed as a single piece, eliminating separate hinges and simplifying assembly. The direct-drive system connects the servos directly to the ailerons, minimizing mechanical play for precise and responsive control. A functional rudder enables coordinated turns and more natural flight dynamics. A replaceable landing skid protects the fuselage during belly landings, while MPX connectors make wing installation and removal quick and convenient. As with all Eclipson designs, the Milano has been optimized specifically for 3D printing, combining a lightweight structure with an efficient assembly process. A static display version is also available, including dedicated 3MF files for multicolor printing, allowing you to reproduce the Red Kite's distinctive plumage. Whether in the air or on display, the Milano showcases the unique possibilities of 3D-printed RC aircraft.
