Take aerobatic performance to the next level with the YAK-55, a fully 3D-printed RC version of the iconic Yakovlev design and engineered for precision, agility, and pure flying enjoyment. Based on the classic YAK-55, this model has been reinterpreted as a high-performance 3D printed aerobatic platform, delivering crisp control response and outstanding maneuverability. Its aerodynamics have been carefully refined using the proven Eclipson Model 3D as a development foundation—an aircraft specifically designed for precise 3D flying and highly efficient performance . This results in smoother airflow, improved control authority, and predictable behavior across the entire flight envelope. To optimize cost and accessibility, the YAK-55 reuses hardware from the Eclipson Model 3D platform. This not only reduces overall investment, but also allows pilots familiar with the system to easily transfer components, maintaining consistency while benefiting from a new airframe design. The aircraft also incorporates continuous improvements in both printing and assembly processes. Optimized part geometry enhances print reliability and reduces build time, while a refined assembly workflow makes the construction process more straightforward and enjoyable. Attention to detail is present throughout, with numerous scale-inspired features that capture the essence of the real YAK-55 while preserving the lightweight efficiency required for high-performance flight. Designed for intermediate and advanced pilots, the YAK-55 offers a dynamic and engaging flying experience. It is agile, responsive, and incredibly fun to fly—perfect for pilots looking to push their aerobatic skills further with the confidence of a proven 3D-printed platform.
