MODEL R

Eclipson model R is an airplane designed with one main objective: Achieve the maximum speed possible using our standard power pack. Thin laminar airfoil, narrow and streamlined fuselage are some of the key factors that explain why this plane reaches 100+ MPH (170KM/H) with our recommended standard power pack. The airframe is extremely strong, reinforced with carbon fiber tubes you won't have to worry about pulling extreme G-maneuvers while flying fast.

One of the main advantages of our designs is that you can choose the wing loading that you want depending on your piloting level and/or preferences. The PLA version with a wing loading of 59g/dm2 is just perfect to fly fast, that is in fact the typical wing loading that you will find on pylon racers. But if your level is not so high and you just want to enjoy a nice sport plane the LW-PLA version is the best option, with a wing loading of 42 g/dm2 the plane will be able to cruise at a much lower speed making this model great also for intermediate pilots.
